Welcome to Kickabout League Reborn!

Kickabout League Reborn is a community revival of Jagex’s classic FunOrb five-a-side football game. The goal of the project is to bring Kickabout League back online while preserving the feel of the original game as closely as possible.

The game is currently in beta and active development. Most of the core experience is playable, but some original features are still being restored, and there may still be bugs along the way.

I’ve spent a ton of time on this project — countless hours planning, researching, and testing. There’s still so much work ahead and so many things I would like to add. Realistically, a lot of that depends on the playerbase. A rating system, leagues, exp, online auctions, and leaderboards don’t really make much sense if there are only five people playing.

Ideally, we’d eventually have a large enough playerbase to justify adding a UK server. Currently, the game server is located in NA.

I would also love to look into adding custom content in the future. Fear not — the original game’s vision will always be preserved. Nothing will change the core gameplay. I’m thinking things like weather, new balls, new pitches, new kits, and other additions of that nature. At the moment, I’m not even sure how much of that is possible, and it would be something I’d explore well after release.

All in all, it’s been a challenging and rewarding experience being able to bring Kickabout League back. I hope you all get to enjoy it and experience that nostalgia once again.
